Job Description



We are seeking to fill a part time position for a Full Charge Bookkeeper. This is a contract to hire position, 20-25 hours per week. We are seeking a take charge individual to handle bookkeeping functions through preliminary financial statement production for a limited number of our client base. This position includes the following: Process Accounts Payable. Process Accounts Receivable. Oversee both Vendor & Client relations as needed. Process Payroll through Quickbooks, Paychex & manage payroll tax reporting. Reconcile monthly bank statements. Process monthly/quarterly business tax returns for the State & City. Prepare monthly closing entries as required for each Client. Prepare financial reporting weekly/monthly as needed. Assist Client managers with GAAP compliance.

Skills & Requirements: 5+ years previous Full Charge Bookkeeping experience. Demonstrated knowledge of work flow and reporting. Knowledge of Chart of Accounts relative to AP & AR coding. Understanding of Sales and Use tax relative to AP invoice coding. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Ability to meet deadlines. Exhibit professionalism and good inter-personal skills. Possess strong oral and written communication skills. Possess excellent organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook-Excel-Word). Proficient with QuickBooks and comparable Accounting software. Education and/or Certifications: Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
