Position Summary: Working from their home office, the Program Director, who reports to the Senior Director of Educational Services, will oversee a portfolio of K-12 online fulltime student programs. This person should be capable of emerging as a thought leader in the business processes and academic protocols that influence success of these cutting edge programs. They need to be able to readily identify the key performance indicators to measure program success and implement continuous improvement strategies. The Program Director will have responsibility and accountability for both the development of new programs, as well as the account management of existing programs. Responsibilities: Planning / execution of a portfolio of programs for institutional/district customers to include Connections Academy public schools. These programs provide educational services to full time students in various settings to include home hospital programs, alternative school programs and charter schools; Business development among existing partners, including individual course sales, channel development, and alliances; Provide support to the marketing and institutional sales teams in growth initiatives to include collateral development, website creation and event support; Manage teams to include program manager and teacher staffing, training and performance monitoring. Ensure intervention in the case of low student participation/performance; Coordinate with purchasing district to ensure processes are defined for enrollment, progress reporting and student interventions; Interface with LMS Support to ensure processes are in place for efficient enrollment, progress reporting of students, as well as transfer of any required information topurchasing institutions student information system; Interface with Finance Department to ensure processes are in place for efficient ordering and invoicing to include notification of delinquent accounts; Ensure effective customer communication tools are in place to include student and partner teacher orientations and demos, as well as status communications throughout the purchasing and enrollment process to include student progress reporting and renewals; When indicated, ensure proper communication tools are in place for parent interface to include account access, orientations, and guides; Interface with sales team to develop, implement and monitor pilot initiatives; Demonstrate mastery of necessary components of Sales Force to support institutional customer process; Strong focus on customer retention and account growth; Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment where skills are challenged and additional duties as assigned.
Masters degree required. Ten plus years experience in project/program management. Knowledge of and experience in virtual schooling is desired. Experience with our LMS, public schools, and/or charter schools considered a plus. Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills. Exceptional client communications. Experience setting and managing expectations, both internally and externally. Experience controlling project changes. Ability to report status clearly and honestly. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong work ethic, ability to develop positive work atmosphere and motivate staff. Experience using MS Office Suite and ability to learn and use new software products.
