Hiring Process: Fill out an application online. Once your application is received by our Recruitment Unit, you will be contacted within five business days. If you qualify for an open position, you will be contacted for an interview, which may be followed by a language test in your target language(s). The test will cover medical terminology, the Interpreter Code of Ethics, and professional interpreter standards. Once you pass the test, you will be sent a contract and an orientation packet. We will contact you to join an orientation by phone. The orientation will take approximately 60 minutes.
Applicant Requirements: Oral and written proficiency in English and the target language(s). At least one year of experience interpreting within the medical industry. Strict adherence to Interpreters Interpreter Code of Ethics, Standards of Behavior, and Confidentiality Pledge. All candidates must pass a criminal background check prior to being contracted with Pacific Interpreters.
