Our compensation is based on a number of factors at the time of hire, including: test scores, years of experience, CMT status, and difficulty of account hired for. Home-based employees are paid on a production basis. Most account production is based on the standard 65 character line (including spaces). Though we pay its home-based employees on a production basis, we ensure that we meet all federal guidelines with regards to minimum wage and over-time law.
To work as a transcriptionist for us requires a minimum of three (3) years of transcription experience, with multiple voices, in the corporate or legal arenas. Equipment may vary depending upon the project that you are working on, however, common equipment includes: Internet connection (High Speed or Dial-up connection is acceptable); Windows 2000, ME or XP (Windows 98 is not compatible with our systems); MS Word 2000 or greater; Printer and Shredder. Transcription equipment needed: Tape Transcriber for Standard & Micro size cassette tapes; Tape Transcriber for 4-Channel Standard size cassette tapes; Digital Transcriber (i.e. C-phone/DVI and Dictaphone compatible); Wav files and CD capabilities. Corporate transcriptionists pay varies depending upon the project. However, most transcriptionists are paid by record time (dictated minutes).
