Accountant. Position is responsible for the preparation of accurate, complete and timely consolidated financial information including consolidated financial statement and accompanying reports for both internal and external reporting using Hyperion software. Position reports to the Director of Accounting.
Monthly consolidation of all businesses, including all eliminating and adjusting entries. Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statement package distributed to senior management. Preparation of financial information, including footnotes, for the quarterly and annual Forms 10-Q and 10-K filed with the SEC. Preparation of journal entries and maintenance of general ledgers for certain corporate tax entities with limited monthly activity. Completion of various reports filed with the US government on a quarterly and annual basis. Reconciliation and follow up of any monthly intercompany out of balances. Liaison with external auditors for audits and SOX. Assist with determining standard reporting practices and classifications on a global basis. Assist with the development and implementation of various accounting policies and procedures. Various special projects. Qualifications: Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting. 2-5 years of accounting experience. Big 4 public accounting experience preferred. Must be detailed oriented and a team player. Good verbal and written communication skills are a must. Ability to work well under pressure and tight time constraints. Needs to be able to exercise good judgment and decision making skills. Self-starter. Able to work with little supervision. Ability to multitask.
