A mystery shopper is someone who visits an establishment (Restaurant, Bar, Hotel, Health Club, Airport, Golf Course, Store, Apartment or Housing Complex, etc.) for the purpose of evaluating the customer service, product quality, presentation and other specific details as requested by our clients. Our shoppers follow specific instructions during their visit and complete an objective written report online after leaving the establishment. Mystery shoppers go to designated establishments and pose as typical customers. When they leave, they fill out report forms that are custom-designed for each client. As a shopper, you serve as the eyes and ears of our clients in your community. Mystery shopping is fun, but it is no joke. Mystery shopping can be an enjoyable way to enjoy a free meal, but it is serious business. With many of our clients, your reports are a key factor in reviewing and assessing employee performance and bonuses. Important decisions are made based on the data supplied by you, the mystery shopper. This input helps our clients improve their training programs and improve their level of customer service.
Mystery shoppers are detail-oriented, thorough, observant and committed to deadlines. Good mystery shoppers look upon mystery shopping as an opportunity to help improve service levels rather than as a profitable job. They take personal satisfaction in watching service levels rise and in knowing that they played a key role in these improvements. Our mystery shoppers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to be fair and honest in their evaluations. Good mystery shoppers are conscientious, reliable and objective. They approach each new assignment as if it were the first time they had ever heard of the establishment. They only accept assignments which they can complete on time, objectively, and without bias. A good mystery shopper knows the importance of following directions; he or she will read and follow each client
